Phil Duff, who previously co-founded $9.3 billion FrontPoint Partners, announced the launch of his new alternative investment and advisory firm Wednesday.

Duff Capital Advisors launches with up to $500 million of capital from private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg.

Duff is in discussions with other groups to provide up to $1.5 billion...
