Renaissance Technologies has named Matthew Scanlan, former head of the Americas institutional business at Barclays, to serve as president and chief executive of Renaissance Institutional Management, the firm’s institutional investor-focused subsidiary.
In his 12 years at Barclays, Scanlan was a member of the firm’s Americas Executive Committee and Global Investment Technology Executive Committee.
