Majority of long/shorts catch March equity rally

The sharp rally in March led to an unusually wide dispersion in returns among European managers.

Henderson UK Equity was up 10.87% to bring first-quarter returns to 19.48%, with Henderson European also up by 7.38%, and Marshall Wace Tops Fundamental was up 6.14% to put three-month returns at 5.59%.

Odey European was up 5.27%, putting YTD numbers at -2.45% and Lansdowne UK gained...
