Swedish firm raises $500m for special opportunities version of Nektar fixed-income fund

Swedish asset management company Brummer & Partners has defied the difficult fund-raising environment to launch a new fixed-income strategy with $500 million in assets and a three-year lockup.

Brummer started the Nektar Special Opportunities fund last month with initial backing from a group of institutional investors, many of whom are invested in other Brummer funds and strategies.
