Consistency pays for Habrok as long-established team rebounds

Ex-Fidelity man LC Kvaal's Delta Europe fund, formerly run with Trafelet, is recovering fast from a dramatic shrinkage in 2008 - and with a new long-term partnership in place

Former Fidelity manager LC Kvaal and his long-established team are enjoying a stunning rebound this year with their five-year-old Delta Fund Europe, which is now trading under the new identity of Habrok Capital following a split from New York-based Trafelet Capital earlier this year.

The fund, a Europe-centric and eclectic value-based long/short equity strategy that also invests in the Middle East, Africa, parts of Asia and the Americas, is up by 55% to the end of August - regaining the ground lost last year when it fell by some 34% and suffered a dramatic reduction in its size.
