Centaurus Capital, the event-driven and credit specialist led by Bernard Oppetit and CIO Randy Freeman, is relaunching its dedicated Asia-Pacific fund to investors as part of the firm's evolution from a multi-strategy to a multi-fund approach following the liquidation of its former Centaurus Alpha multi-strat flagship fund last year.

The move follows the roll-out six months ago of the new Centaurus International Risk Arbitrage Fund - which has already grown assets from seed capital of just $10 million from the firm's partners at its launch in mid-March to more than $300 million (mainly from ex-investors in the multi-strat fund) and is up by over 17% since its inception.
