University of Texas Investment Management Company tops the new InvestHedge 'A' List survey of the US's largest hedge fund investors in absolute terms, but it is Duke Management Company, with a 59% allocation to hedge funds, that leads the polls in terms of largest percentage allocation

University of Texas Investment Management Company tops the new InvestHedge 'A' List survey of the US's largest hedge fund investors in absolute terms, but it is Duke Management Company, with a 59% allocation to hedge funds, that leads the polls in terms of largest percentage allocation.

InvestHedge took a look at the hedge fund portfolios of 20 of the largest investors in the US, whose assets under management totalled $992 billion. Of these total assets, the average invested in hedge funds is 7.45%, equivalent to a total of nearly $74 billion. However, according to the findings of the survey, the 'A' List alone has the potential to grow by as much as $8.5 billion in the coming year if hedge fund allocations planned before the crisis of 2008 come to fruition....
