Run by a trio of managers, the Asia Pacific Equity Multi-Strategy fund has moved mountains thanks to a combination of expertise rather than a division of labour, they say

Few hedge fund managers can talk about entrepreneurial team spirit and institutional muscle in the same breath, but the Henderson Asia Pacific Equity Multi-Strategy Fund combines both - the three-man team behind the fund has full control over the fund's asset management, but also has the security of Henderson's long-established hedge fund platform to support it.

The fund was one of four from the Henderson stable nominated for a gong in the 2009 AsiaHedge Awards, and undoubtedly contributed to the house winning the AsiaHedge Management Firm of the Year Award. Launched in late 2006, the fund's performance was uninspiring for the next two years, but ex-Concordia Advisors man Chris Jones came on board in 2008, and last year the fund far exceeded...
