Legal & General Investment Management is adding to its suite of hedge fund strategies with the roll-out to investors this month of a new global fixed-income and credit opportunities fund.

The strategy is managed by former Gartmore credit hedge fund co-managers Dickie Hodges and Christophe Tamet - who are respectively head of high alpha fixed-income and head of credit at LGIM and who have been running the strategy internally with strong results since July 2008.
The new LGIM Global Opportunities Fixed Income Fund uses the existing structural umbrella of the firm's now-defunct LGIM High Yield Alpha Dublin-listed hedge fund. The original high-yield debt strategy has been discontinued due to...
