Global hedge fund assets rebound to just over $1.8 trillion

Assets in global hedge funds fell and then rebounded during 2009 to end the year at just over $1.82 trillion - roughly the same level as the previous year - according to the latest research compiled by HedgeFund Intelligence.

When we last conducted this exercise to measure the aggregate assets for the end of June 2009, we calculated that industry assets were at a total of $1.722 trillion....
