Christiaen van Lanschot, the former head of commodities investment at AIG-FP in Europe and Asia, is up and running with his new commodities-focused asset management firm VOC Capital Management.

VOC launched its debut systematic long/short commodities hedge fund strategy last August with initial partner and seed capital of $5 million. Having come through a particularly testing few months for all systematic strategies, the fund is in positive territory - with particularly strong results in the past few months - and is up by 5% this year.
