Founded in 1998 by former Phibro soft commodities trader
Anthony Ward and ex-Eurobond broker Richard Gower, the firm
started life in a basement office on London's Grosvenor Street
with nine employees and just £2 million of the founders'

and its subsidiaries have more than 3,000 employees worldwide -
with offices in 15 countries across Europe, Africa, the Middle
East, Asia and north and south America.
Its activities span commodities trading (both in physicals,

principal player in the coffee market too, as well as in
