Revere Capital Advisors aims to provide full support for its managers while investing its own capital

When Dan Barnett and other former board members of Man Group set up their hedge fund investment platform in October 2008, right after the collapse of Lehman Brothers, reactions ranged from scepticism to astonishment.

"People asked: 'Is this a good time to be doing it?'. Everybody's hair was on fire in October 2008," Barnett says.
Contrary to expectations, the timing of Revere Capital Advisors' launch turned out to be good, according to Barnett. He and his partners were able to get the New York and London-based business up and running before selecting from the growing pool of talented hedge fund managers seeking capital after the financial crisis.
