ABC Arbitrage launches second fund, with more systematic offerings in the pipeline

ABC Arbitrage Asset Management, the €135 million Paris-based systematic event-driven firm, has launched its second fund for outside investors and plans to roll out another two strategies over the coming months.

The firm is the operational division of Euronext-listed proprietary trading firm ABC Arbitrage. It launched its first offering, the ABCA Arbitrage Opportunities Fund, in mid-2007. This was created by exporting a subset of the firm's investment strategies; ABC no longer carries these trades in its proprietary book, instead allocating to the pooled fund. The firm will maintain this approach with all new funds: redeploying its capital into the funds and thereby ensuring that its interests are aligned with those of its investors.
