The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has maintained a fairly positive and moderate approach to regulation amid and following the 2008 financial crisis. Please elaborate on the thought process behind it.
MW Hong Kong - as the rest of Asia - was relatively unaffected by the initial financial crisis, given that our financial systems are generally bank-dominated and the securities market is largely based on equities, and financial products are generally less complex.
