AR magazine took top honors at the annual Azbee Awards of Excellence gala held in New York on Wednesday, with two
gold national ASBPE awards—for New Publication Editorial Excellence and New Publication Design. AR was launched in
September 2009 and won five awards at the event, which is sponsored by the American Society of Business Publication
Editors.
Senior writer Britt Tunick nabbed the Northeast Region Silver Award for Organizational Profile for her November
2009 cover story on Harbinger Capital Management, “Falcone’s Fall to Earth.”
Art director Nathan Sinclair and his team won the National Silver Award for Overall Photography/Illustrations.
AR’s December 2009 cover, “The Goldman Brand Demystified,” won Sinclair the Regional Bronze Award for Computer-
Generated Cover Design.
The AR editorial team, headed by editor Michelle Celarier, received the Gold New Publication editorial award.
"I want to thank the entire editorial and art team of AR for helping us achieve this recognition in our first year,"
said Celarier. "We'd also like to thank ASBPE for recognizing the strength of both our editorial product and our design."
“It's a glorious set of achievements, which AR deserves,” said Padraic Fallon, chairman of Euromoney Institutional
Investor, the publisher of AR. “AR swept the board with internal editorial awards. Now the external judges have
recognized the work and flair of Michelle and her team. And there's more great editorial to come from AR, on and off line.”
