Performance rallies in July, but equity bears get hit

July looks to have been a much better month for hedge funds after the two difficult months of May and June, with the preliminary EuroHedge Composite indices showing a median return of 0.95% for the month – and a return of 1.24% on a mean average basis.

The estimates are based on reported numbers from some 900 funds that are already in – and we will providing a final update on the index numbers next week once the performance figures from the remaining funds are in.
