Gartmore has appointed Adam McConkey as head of UK smaller
companies following the resignation this week of Gervais
Williams as head of the embattled UK-listed asset
manager’s highly-regarded UK smaller companies
In the latest blow to the publicly-quoted firm –
whose share price is still reeling from the recent departure of
star European equity manager Guillaume Rambourg after the
firm’s decision to conduct an internal
investigation – Gartmore said in a statement to the
London Stock Exchange on Wednesday that Williams was leaving
"to pursue other interests".
Together with Rob Giles, Williams was the original portfolio
