CQS starts standalone global distressed debt fund to swell multi-strategy range

CQS, the $8 billion London-based global asset manager led by Michael Hintze, has quietly launched a new standalone fund focused on opportunities in distressed debt as the latest addition to its multi-strategy range of funds.

The Distressed Value Opportunities fund, which started trading a few months ago with initial capital of around $50 million from a handful of core seed investors, is managed by Mark Unferth out of the firm's New York office.
