Now four years in, the firm's founders are beginning to detect a ripple of interest from funds of hedge funds, which could see the €40 million Antaurus Europe Fund grow significantly.
The fund made an impressive 40% last year — compared with a gain of just under 12% for the EuroHedge European Equity index — and it has continued to outperform in 2010, posting a 4.87% return this year to the end of August, while the index is slightly down. In total, the fund has made 49.12% net since launching in late 2006, leading to an annualised return of 10.74%.
