Jeff Blumberg has been named as the new chief executive officer at Egerton Capital, the highly rated and long-running long/short European equity firm led by CIO John Armitage, following the decision by Helen Avery to retire at year-end after 16 years with the firm.
Blumberg joined Egerton in June from Goldman Sachs in London, where he was a managing director and co-chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s fund of hedge fund unit called Hedge Fund Strategies.
