BTG Pactual, the fast-growing Brazil-headquartered
investment banking and asset management group led by former UBS
fixed-income chief Andre Esteves, is seeing rapid inflows into
its high-performing global emerging markets and macro fund
– with assets already at $1.2 billion after just a few
months of being opened to outside investors.
The strategy is run by a big and highly experienced team of
some 45 traders and portfolio managers based in London and New
York – led by CIO Simeon Schwartz and five senior
portfolio managers, all of whom previously worked with Esteves
at UBS before forming BTG in late 2008...
