Zadig recruits ex-HSBC manager Bourgeois for long-only launch

Zadig Asset Management, the European long/short equity specialist led by former Voltaire man Laurent Saglio, has hired former HSBC European Alpha co-manager Vincent Bourgeois as a portfolio manager to work on the firm’s first long-only fund.

Bourgeois, who has worked in equity investing for over 20 years at Oddo, Lazard, Bessent Capital and more recently as HSBC Global Asset Management’s alternative investments arm, will be particularly involved in the running of Zadig’s new Memmon Fund, a Luxembourg-based long-only equity fund that the firm plans to launch shortly.
