Banks and other financial institutions are having a tough time in the post-crisis environment, with profitability under pressure from all sides and regulation looming in all directions.

But there are potentially strong returns to be made by hedge funds focused on the financials sector – and Abaco Financials is no exception.

However, Abaco – which is one of the most proven hedge funds specialising in financials, with eight years under its belt – is an exception in two key respects.
