Pacific Sun Advisors markets Mantel’s comeback fund

Veteran China-focused hedge fund manager Andy Mantel is launching a long-only fund targeting small and mid cap companies from the Greater China region listed in exchanges across the globe.

The marketing for the Cayman-registered Pacific Sun Greater China Equities Fund started this month and the fund itself is scheduled to begin operating on September 1.The portfolio manager says the fund could scale to assets of $200 million in three years.

The fund is structured with management and performance fees of 1.75% and 8.88%, respectively. Mantel was the founding portfolio manager of China’s first investment manager, Shanghai International Asset Management, and he currently manages The China Mantou Fund, a long/short fund investing...
