At the 10th annual awards, 270 industry figures celebrated the best of the best |
Attended by 270 leading industry figures – including best-of-breed managers, top global allocators and influential policy-makers – the glittering gala dinner provided a platform for the Asian hedge fund industry to come together and celebrate the top performers in a year of huge challenges and uncertainties.
Those managers who took home the coveted trophies this year had certainly proved their mettle in an investing environment that has been tougher and more volatile than it has been for many years.
And, in many ways, their success underlines the coming of age of the Asian hedge fund management industry as a whole – with all the winners having deployed a smart combination of tactical trading, fundamental investing, disciplined risk management and shorting skills to protect downside risk and generate true alpha in increasingly tricky and turbulent markets.
