High-profile closures mark the end of 2011

Several well-known managers have decided to return money to investors following a difficult 2011, and the prospects of more uncertainty in 2012. These include Isometric Capital, Tribridge Investment Partners, Thaddeus Capital and Penta Investments.

The decisions to do so are triggered by factors often unique to each fund, but that usually include flattish or poor performance and/or pressure from seeding investors who want their money back after getting weak returns.
