As the institutional grade hedge funds start to attract assets directly from the allocators, the funds of funds role is developing along two lines. The first is to act as a professional and experienced adviser and partner to those attempting direct investments, and the second is to use the decades of competence in picking winners to discover the talent of tomorrow.
