Sequent Capital up and running again with rebuilt managed futures strategy

Sequent Capital, the newly resurrected CTA arm of $1 billion London investment firm Bainbridge Partners, has opened its trading programme up for investment.

Sequent CTA – Fundamental Diversified (V12) has its roots in the firm’s earlier managed futures programme, which ran between 2004 and 2008. The programme uses both price data and fundamental data to capture trends – making it relatively unusual among CTAs, many of which rely solely on price information.

The strategy launched in March with $10 million from an existing Bainbridge client. At present, it can only be accessed via individually structured managed accounts or via Deutsche Bank’s dbSelect platform.
