The first of three high-profile keynote speakers over the course of the two-day Summit was Persio Arida, managing partner and chairman for asset management within BTG Pactual, the fast-growing Brazilian-based asset management and banking group.
Arida had travelled from São Paulo specifically to deliver his speech. And he had done so at relatively short notice to replace his colleague, BTG Pactual CEO Andre Esteves, who was unable to travel because the firm’s hotly-awaited global IPO was set to price on the very day the keynote was due to be delivered.
Of course, this made Arida’s appearance at the EuroHedge Summit all the more...
