A lively panel discussion between four hedge fund investors and
an investment consultant put the issue of transparency under

Odier Investment Managers (LOIM); Utah State Retirement Fund
deputy CIO Larry Powell; and Matthew Roberts, a senior
consultant and head of multi-strategy hedge funds at Towers
"Often, when a manager doesn’t give investors
transparency it’s because he doesn’t
have to," said Powell – suggesting that some managers
have a sense of arrogance about what they do, which smaller
