A diverse and well-balanced panel of senior hedge fund investors – spanning a fund of funds, a major pension fund investor, a consultant specialising in hedge funds, and an investor in management firms themselves – expressed their views on the direction of the hedge fund industry and whether investors are getting what they want from their managers.
Representing funds of hedge funds was Christopher Fawcett, a well-known industry figure both as senior partner at Fauchier Partners and via his involvement with the Alternative Investment Management Association and the Hedge Fund Standards Board.
From the pensions world, there was Niels Oostenbrug of Mn Services — one of the largest pension administrators and asset managers in the Netherlands, with over €70 billion under management for a variety of Dutch and UK pension funds.
