Credit firm Abaci winds down as European hedge fund shutdowns near 50 for H1 2012

Abaci Investment Management, the London-based credit boutique run by former TRI Asset Management portfolio manager Zaman Khan, has wound down its value-oriented Abaci Capital Structure Globus Fund and returned all capital to investors. Khan and his team are now looking into the possibility of joining or partnering with a larger outfit.

The fund launched in July 2010 and ran a strategy that had previously been managed successfully since 2008 in the form of a single-investor managed account for a Benelux family office.
