Long-awaited hedge fund hopes to launch before yearend, sources say.
Alex Denner, the former top healthcare executive for Carl Icahn, has struck a seed deal with Meritage Group, the multifamily office that manages money for top executives of Renaissance Technologies, according to a person with direct knowledge of the agreement.
A five-year Icahn veteran, Denner was previously a portfolio manager for $15.6 billion Viking Global Investors and for several Morgan Stanley mutual funds. The exact amount of the seed investment could not be determined, but it is likely to be about...
