Lazard Asset Management has opened a new Lazard Opportunities Fund following the recent closure of Matrix Asset Management’s UCITS fund platform – creating a new onshore European investment vehicle for US-based manager Sean Reynolds’ successful capital structure and convertible arbitrage strategy.
The newly-launched Lazard Opportunities Fund – which was launched this week – is a sub-fund of Lazard Global Investment Funds plc, the group’s Irish-registered open-ended investment company and UCITS fund platform.
Mike Wariebi, head of alternative investments, marketing and business development in Europe and the Middle East at Lazard Asset Management, commented: “The transition from Matrix to the Lazard UCITS platform has been seamless and we welcome existing and future investors.”
