The launch of a new strategy targeting European high-yield debt is the latest step in the expansion of Henderson Global Investors’ long/short credit asset management business
Henderson Credit Alpha, the UCITS-compliant, multi-strategy long/short credit fund managed by Henderson Global Investors, celebrated its fifth anniversary over the summer and is performing well this year — returning 5% to the end of October in its sterling share class and on track to beat its annual target of 5% above three-month Libor.
Since launching in July 2007, the fund has produced an annualised return of 6.17%, in large part thanks to an impressive outperformance in the buoyant credit market conditions in 2009.
Meanwhile, Henderson’s credit team has also this month launched a new UCITS fund focused on European high-yield opportunities.
