Top executives from some of the largest sunshine/private funds, the domestic version of hedge funds in China, have confirmed their participation in AsiaHedge’s inaugural China Forum, to be held on 12 September, 2013 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Shanghai.

Key confirmed speakers include Dr Jiwu Chen, chairman of Vstone Capital; Yang Ling, president and chief strategist of StarRock Investment Management; Wang Qing, president of Chongyang Investment Management; Ying Zheng, co-founder of Congrong Investment Management; Joseph Zeng, partner and head of Hong Kong office for Greenwoods Asset Management; Lucy Miu, managing director at China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Asset Management; and Jenny Tian, managing partner and senior portfolio manager of Springs Capital.

The Forum will debate key issues, such as the evolution of the China sunshine/private funds into world-class hedge funds, as well as the advantages of domestic funds in China establishing overseas offices and launching offshore vehicle to access international capital.

Also under the scanner will be the new Securities Investment Fund Law and the compliant status it brings for hedge funds in China.

The Forum, attended by top industry players, could not have had come at a more opportune time. While brand new regulation is creating the eco-system for a true hedge fund industry in China, domestic/global hedge fund managers and service providers are blueprinting strategies to build long term businesses in the country.

We expect the China Forum to serve a key source of intelligence on the China hedge fund industry going forward, and we look forward to seeing you in Shanghai on 12 September. For more information on the AsiaHedge China Forum, click on
