Gávea to launch levered version of flagship

The Brazilian macro firm lures investors with a higher risk profile--alongside increased fees.

Gávea Investimentos, the $6.9 billion Brazilian alternative investment firm, is offering investors a higher-risk version of its flagship fund in exchange for higher fees. The Gávea Fund Plus is set to launch August 1, according to a letter to investors. The new vehicle will invest in parallel to the $1.6 billion flagship Gávea Fund but will have higher risk, typically 1.5 times more by increasing the size of all positions by 50%.
