General counsel resigns from Harbinger Capital Partners

Robin Roger left the troubled firm last month.


Harbinger Capital Partners general counsel, chief compliance officer, and co-chief operating officer Robin Roger has resigned from the firm, according to a letter sent to investors on December 20.

Roger had served as the firm’s general counsel since July 2009, chief compliance officer since 2011, and had also been the firm’s co-chief operating officer. She also resigned from her post as a director on the board of the firm’s holding company, Harbinger Group Inc. (HGI).

Keith Hladek, Harbinger’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer, will take over as the firm’s chief compliance officer. It was unclear whether the firm was seeking a replacement for the general counsel role. "We will continue...
