LAS VEGAS—Representatives from Texas Teachers and Larch Lane offered frank business advice for would-be hedge fund managers at last week’s SkyBridge Alternatives Conference (SALT) in Las Vegas. The message: Unless you’ve got a good pitch and a good history, your fund won’t sell.
