Jaguar Funds Group is primed for the Australian hedge fund
Australia might not be the first location that springs to
mind when investors think of Asian hedge funds. But, as the
launch of the Sydney-based Jaguar Australian Leaders Long/Short
Fund in March 2003 indicates, the country is increasingly
edging its way on to the Asian hedge fund map.
Glenn Rosewall, managing director and CIO of Jaguar Funds
Group, admits that "the location is a bit of a handicap", but
he cites positive local developments that encouraged him and
his partner, Robert Hunter, to believe that "it was the right
product at the right time to launch a long/short Australian
