A small group of Italian players are taking their business abroad in search of a larger client base

While most Italian hedge fund firms have traditionally concentrated on developing domestic operations targeting an Italian client base, a small number of players have built up a successful international presence and produced products that are authorised for sale outside Italy. Not surprisingly, their international activities have boosted their assets and helped to ensure their place in the top ranks of Italian SGRs.
