Institutional investors are making up an increasingly larger percentage of the assets run by hedge funds. And, as more investors start to use hedge funds in their portfolios, the number of providers supplying them is multiplying at an alarming rate.

Some hedge fund providers are good and others are, perhaps, less than ideally suited. To add to the first time investor’s confusion, the number of products and variations on the ways they can access hedge funds is increasing. How is a first time investor supposed to sort the wheat from the chaff, as they say? This report aims to be the first step.
