Former Utah analyst sent to prison

After soliciting a side deal from an unnamed London-based hedge fund manager, Cameron Cox has pleaded guilty to fraud charges and was sentenced to one year in federal prison.

Cox was charged in a one-count felony in federal court in Salt Lake City earlier this year. Cox was employed by the $20 billion Utah Retirement System from January 2008 to January 2010.
