When BNP Paribas Investment Partners launched THEAM last April, it was with an ultra-ambitious brief.
Designed to complement the bank’s traditional investment operations, THEAM gathers together all the bank’s non-traditional investment expertise, including talent previously sited within its corporate finance and capital markets group.
The aim is to launch a massive assault on the growing ‘investment solutions’ market, providing institutional clients with the quant and risk management tools they need to adjust their portfolios to get the market exposures they want.
With its team in place, THEAM is now moving fast to position itself as a leader in this market, helped by a major press advertising campaign. ‘Meet the investment architects’ features transparent building blocks, some with alpha and beta logos, which are being used to create a structure with the help of a client.
