1 Are you bullish or bearish for the year ahead?
JANE BUCHAN Bullish. Looking around the globe: Asia is growing, it’s only a question of how fast; the US is getting its financial house in order, despite political dysfunction; Europe remains as the only real mess around, but even there opportunities exist. While we feel that the broad equity market is close to fair value, we believe that an increase in dispersion across securities and sub-asset classes will create opportunities for active managers who struggled last year.
