Crescent Point-backed Crescent Hill pan-Asian long/short fund lines up for July launch with estimated $50 million

Singapore-based Crescent Hill Capital is gearing up for a 1 July launch of its pan-Asian long/short equity Crescent Hill Asia Opportunities Fund.

The fund, which is looking at an approximate $50 million launch size, is backed by Crescent Hill’s key partner Crescent Point, an emerging-markets private equity firm founded in 2002 by former Morgan Stanley executives.

Crescent Point’s well-known Asian private equity investments include AirAsia in Malaysia, Carmen Copper Corporation in the Philippines, Tudou Holdings in China, Arqaam Capital in the UAE and Masterskill Education in Malaysia, among others.
