Aberdeen shares tips on balancing strategy allocation and manager selection

Aberdeen Asset Management has two things to consider when it
comes to adding hedge funds to the money it manages for its
£183 billion of third-party client assets under
management. The first is where hedge funds fit into the overall
asset mix, a topic covered by chief investment officer Anne
Richards in the day two opening session, 'The Art of Hedge Fund
Investing' (see opposite page).
But the second comes from more than 14 years of managing
funds of funds, such as the Aberdeen Orbita funds, and that
relates to mixing the perfect hedge fund portfolio. For this,
