The seventh annual EuroHedge Summit, to be held in Paris on 21-22 April, will bring the top managers and investors together to address the big issues facing the hedge fund industry
We are delighted to announce a number of significant additions to the programme for the forthcoming annual EuroHedge Summit, which will be held in Paris on 21-22 April at its traditional venue of Le Palais de la Bourse.
The seventh annual EuroHedge Summit will bring together senior representatives from all sides of the industry to discuss the many issues, challenges and opportunities facing all those involved with hedge funds at a time of far-reaching change and rapid evolution under the title of 'Strategies for a New Era'.
Details of the additional stream sessions on the afternoon of the first day are on the full programme on the facing page – and will cover a range of issues including hedge fund investor trends, investor requirements in transparency and disclosure, managed accounts, UCITS, the lessons learned from Lehman, catalyst-related strategies and commodities.
The additional speakers and panellists for these sessions include a number of high-quality managers and investors – including Elena Ambrosiadou of IKOS, Lee Robinson of Trafalgar, Fredrik Juntti of Montrica, Tom Sandell of Castlerigg, Tom Sargeant of Tudor, Martin Phipps of Gartmore, Stan Chaudhry of Thames River, Christopher Fawcett of Fauchier Partners, Patrick Fenal of Unigestion and Sven Liden of Man Investment.
In addition we can now also confirm details of a special closing session on The Future of the Industry – featuring AIMA CEO Andrew Baker, well-known industry figure Ian Morley, hedge fund lawyer Martin Cornish and Cyril Julliard of fund of funds group ERAAM.
Over the two days the Summit will address the big issues facing the industry from the perspective of both managers and investors – and the macro outlook at a time of high uncertainty, volatility and opportunity across the entire investment spectrum.
There will also be a series of strategy-specific sessions focusing on the outlook in areas such as credit and distressed, emerging markets, long/short equity, quant and systematic strategies, event-driven and arbitrage.
Over the last few years the EuroHedge Summit has grown into the premier European event for the hedge fund industry and one of the biggest events in the global hedge fund calendar.
As previously announced, the three keynote speakers this year are Leda Braga of BlueCrest, Aziz Nahas of 1798 Global Partners and Joseph Oughourlian of Amber Capital. In all almost 100 leading managers, investors and other senior figures from the hedge fund world will be participating at the Summit as speakers or panellists.
