Dates: Wednesday, 16 March 2011 - Thursday, 17 March 2011

Held in Hong Kong, the AsiaHedge Forum is a major hedge fund event attracting both local and international delegates who need to know about the Asia-Pacific hedge fund industry. The Forum addresses the strategies, issues and challenges that the region's industry now faces, and provides the perfect opportunity to network with the region's finest managers and investors.

John Ho joins top Forum line-up

Ex-TCI Asia head and CIO of Janchor Partners John Ho joins Levinson and Tsang among keynote speakers at the Forum in Hong Kong on 16-17 March.

With only a few weeks remaining to the Asia-Hedge Forum – Meeting Tomorrow Today – on 16-17 March, we are delighted to announce that John Ho, the highly regarded CIO of Janchor Partners and former Asia head of The Children's Investment Fund Management will be delivering the final keynote speech at this year's event.

The Forum will also provide an excellent opportunity to hear our other two keynote speakers, Adam Levinson, co-CIO of the Fortress Macro Fund, and the Honourable John Tsang, Financial Secretary of Hong Kong, and as usual the perfect setting for a lively debate on opportunities and strategies to harness the Asian growth story.

Keynote speakers: Adam Levinson, John Tsang & John Ho

This year's Forum will be a good platform for a meeting of minds between hedge funds managers and policy makers, and point the way forward as the Asian hedge fund industry becomes more institutionalised.

As in previous years, the event will feature a diverse and impressive line-up of speakers – including many hedge fund managers and investors. The much-anticipated China panel will feature: Chad Liu of China credit specialist Prudence Investment Management: George Phillips of Northwest Investment Management; Richard Willams, partner at London-based China specialist fund of funds Caliburn; Donna Kwok, among HSBC's top-rated China economists; and Jenny Tian of mainland fund Spring Capital.

The panel will focus on the outlook for China's high-potential but often volatile markets as well as hedge fund landscape, with topics ranging from economic growth to Renminbi revaluation, and how hedge funds are positioning to harness this growth.

The opening Macro panel also promises to be an exciting one, with Rachel Ziemba of Roubini Global Economics, which famously forecast correctly the global credit crunch, and Monica Hsiao from the big global hedge fund group CQS, both speaking on that panel. A power-packed Asian Investors panel brings together Jerry Wang of Vision, David Walter of PAAMCO, Harold Yoon of SAIL, Denise Hu of Archer Asia and John Knox of LGT to talk about investor needs in Asia and whether they are being served.

The AsiaHedge Forum will be held on 16-17 March 2011, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong. Known for its high quality of content, participants and networking opportunity, the Forum is expected to attract more than 300 delegates from all over the world, comprising top Asian hedge fund managers (based within and outside Asia) and the most influential local and international investors. Also present are regulators, policy makers, asset consultants and other decision makers related to the Asian hedge fund world.

The AsiaHedge Forum 2011 comes at a time when all eyes are on Asia and the region is emerging as a global investment nucleus. There is no better time to network with and hear the best brains in the Asian hedge fund space.

Industry views:

"AsiaHedge Forum is the one event I look forward to every year where there is rich, relevant content and high-quality delegates. It provides direct, value-added commentary on the industry."
Christophe Lee, managing director, FrontPoint Partners & chairman, Alternative Investment Management Association (Hong Kong)

"The conference had a high proportion of investors and, as it is not too big, it is quite easy to meet people. Content was useful and has helped me think about the way I run my business."
Anthony Limbrick, CIO, Pure Capital

"The level of discussions was far higher than what I have seen in a long while in a number of conferences… It seems that you were able to balance the big headline speakers with smaller but often more insightful discussions."
Vincent Duhamel, CEO, SAIL Advisors
